Buffalo Suzuki Strings Gets A New Home

New digs for the Buffalo Suzuki Strings.By Bill Raffel, WBFO

Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Suzuki Strings begin offering classes in their own building today.

It?s located right on the banks of the Erie Canal on Webster Street in downtown North Tonawanda. Previously, lessons were offered in a Town of Tonawanda church. But development director Tim Neal says they had to turn students away because there wasn?t enough space.

If you?d like to learn more about the Buffalo Suzuki Strings, you can connect to their web site through Music Notes online at wbfo.org or call WBFO at 829-6000. And thanks to Development Director Tim Neal for joining us this morning on Music Notes. What a small world? we were both in the Kenmore West Orchestra back in the early to mid 80s.

One concert to mention. The Buffalo Philharmonic pays tribute to Duke Ellington Friday (1/11) at 7:30PM and Saturday (1/12) at PM in Kleinhans Music Hall. And that?s Music Notes. I?m Bill Raffel. Have a great week.
