A 31-year-old Amherst woman is accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend.
The Erie County District Attorney's office says Monica Carpenter has been arraigned in Amherst Town Court on a first-degree manslaughter charge.
Carpenter is accused of stabbing her boyfriend, Pedro Pizarro, 30, in the back, causing his death, early Monday morning in their Callodine Avenue home.
Carpenter faces a felony hearing on Friday morning. She is being held on $100,000 bail and faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
