Buffalo, NY – The new Erie County Legislature will have new leadership.
The Democratic majority Monday elected its leaders for the upcoming year. Lynn Marinelli, representing North Buffalo and parts of Tonawanda, is the new chair. Maria Whyte was elected majority leader. She represents parts of the West Side, Black Rock and Riverside.
The vote was made unanimous as a show of party unity. The new Legislature has a 12 to three Democratic majority over the Republicans.
