Buffalo, NY – Orchard Park Schools Superintendent Paul Grekalski was placed on paid administrative leave Tuesday by the district's school board.
The decision was made after allegations surfaced that calls from Grekalski's district-owned cell phone were placed to local escort services and phone sex lines. Grekalski claims friends of his son were responsible for making the calls.
These latest allegations follow an earlier controversy involving $3,000 in personal expenses Grekalski incurred on a district credit card. Those charges were later reimbursed.
School Board President Joseph Bieron says the board is launching an official investigation.
Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum Joan Thomas will serve in an interim role as head of the Orchard Park School District.
